Recent Events

SPRING BOOKSALE
The Friends raised a record $4140.50 during the Spring Booksale. Thanks to everyone who shopped, sold, sorted, set up, took down, and packed up.

SORTING CANS & BOTTLES
The Friends raised $787.05 sorting cans and bottles at the Transfer Station. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and effort!

TASTE OF NASHOBA
The Friends sold 100 tickets for this event earning $5.00 per ticket sold. On top of that ticket buyers got to enjoy some great food March 25th. We will be selling tickets next year so look to the library for tickets again!

LOVE YOUR LIBRARY MONTH part 1
The Friends Board of Directors put on a lovely luncheon for the library staff. Springtime in Paris was the theme. French food, French music, and French Chocolate (okay, the chocolate came from Concord) was enjoyed by the staff.

LOVE YOUR LIBRARY MONTH part 2
Candy Candy Candy. The winners of the "Just how much candy was in the Candy Jar" were Kathy Provost and Morgan Pichel. Kathy won 2 tickets to the Taste of Nashoba. Morgan won all the candy plus a gift certificate to a bookstore. Thanks for all the entries!

ANNUAL MEETING ENTERTAINMENT
Alan Fould's author of Boston's Ballparks and Arena's spoke at the annual meeting, October 28, 2007. The hour long entertaining presentation included information about Bostons earliest baseball fields sprinkled heavily with amusing anecdotes and stories about the fields, the teams and the fans. Mr. Foulds was kind enough to sign books and take questions from the audience.

Boston's Ballparks and Arena's covers the history of sports in the Boston area. The book details the events and teams that played in 42 different venues in Boston.
